Cape Cod got up and left today.

It wanted to make friends with the Hamptons,
But it had no polo shirt.

It tried to make it in California,
But its skin was white and pasty.

It traveled down to Miami,
But it hated staying out all night.

It stopped by Hilton Head,
But it didn’t say ma’am or sir.

Cape Cod had nowhere left to go,
So it went back to Boston.
