Things To Do At Detention

Draw little designs or phrases on the desk, or the wood chair in front of you
Pass notes to another unlucky friend who got caught too
Watch the clock, as the second hand ticks away, and the minute hand eventually moves
around the circle; it seems to move so slow
Do homework that was due three blocks ago
Text friends to pass time
and wait for the bell to chime.
Sleep in the wooden chair
Fix your hair
Day dream about better things you could be doing
Eat the food you should’ve eaten at lunch
Study for the test tomorrow
and count down until detention is over.
