Easter Candy

I am sorry for what I've done
I did not know it was not mine,
I thought you left it for me to eat,
That is why I ate the chocolate.
But I have to say,
It was delicious.
I could not resist,
Its siren call beckoned me
Towards the small Godiva bunny.
So it isn't my fault you see,
It is yours for leaving it within my reach,
By trusting a dog with food.
