When we saw you cry that day
when your goldfish passed away
we thought it was amusing
seeing you crying

Please forgive me
it was wrong, I agree
I know we should have given you a hug but of course instead
we ripped off the Barbie’s head
and you cried for that doll we had “killed”
while we sat there thrilled

So once again I am sorry for making you cry
but you have to admit it was funny when you said good-bye
to the Barbie and the fish.
