Can’t Stand It

Whenever I see the Sox or Pats,
He comes to mind.
We go to their games,
Or any others we can find.

I can’t stand it when he is not here,
Because there seems to be a hole in my heart.
But when he does show,
Those times seem to part.

At first it felt awkward,
Not having him around all the time.
Yet I have learned to deal with it.
And I think I’ll be fine.

But I can’t help to wonder how it would be if he were around.
These thoughts usually make me glad,
So I’m saying this from the heart,
I LOVE YOU DAD.
