Samantha W.

The Wrong Path

She looks in the mirror
Doesn't like what she sees
Her face void of feeling
Her eyes always empty

She seeks to find the source
Of all her emotion
And silently endures
Her poor heart's erosion

Behind closed doors and locks
She releases her tears
And allows all her pain
To free-fall with her fears

She's too stubborn to say
That she doesn't agree
When the world seems to think
She's a child prodigy

She's in, "over her head"
And you can do the math
She's veering and winding
Down a very wrong path
