Misted Conundrums

They have had an argument
He turns his head to detach himself from the tension
She is agitated by this gesture
Her grip on her arm tightens menacingly
Electrified, she shoves him into a puddle of sewage.

A fruit stand topples
The crash highlighted by soaring splinters of wood
Seeded globes bump over the slick cobblestones
They step on passing grapes
Satisfied by destruction.

They gaze at a limping animal
Mange and dirt its umbrella
Water diluting scabs
It stumbles through repelled legs
Ignored in its pain.
