Keep Out!

The attic was our favorite place.
We were up there everyday.

Mom would never bother us.
She knew we were there to stay.

The barbies were the best.
Always so much fun.

We loved to tear their heads off.
Too bad they couldn’t run.

We hid jelly beans from mom.
Always ate so much.

Never let her have any.
They weren’t hers to touch.

We hand-printed the door.
The door that marked our territory.

It was like a book.
Each hand-print told a different story.
