Rifle Range

Power navigated through
me like an adventure lost in
the wild.

After jerking the trigger and
hearing the voices hyena through the crowd,
a mushroom cloud
cheerfully exploded in the distance.

At that second I felt like a Macedonian phalanx,
nothing could stop the cheetah train…
as I thundered on to my next conquest,
firing a 58 caliber Civil War musket.

I waited as the expert
loaded the ancient
piece of work
like he was in the battle of
Gettysburg.

He handed the eager musket to me.
Gripping the smooth and stubborn trigger,
I fired.
