The "If" In Life

Countless “Ifs,” and “What ifs,”
Each with its own set of problems and gains.
Infinite paths, infinite opportunity.
Pick one, and follow the way
To the one real outcome.

Take time to think,
Consider, deliberate, examine;
There is only one chance.
But act quickly,
The sole chance, if given the chance,
Will fly away;
Leaving you with nothing, an unfinished creation.

The “Ifs,” and the “What ifs,”
The words that perpetually plague our thoughts,
Tolerated to answer one question,
That perpetual question:
“What do I do now?
